The flagship TCR model combines its legendary ride quality with new system integration and construction methods to make it more efficient than ever. The down tube is significantly redesigned for improved aerodynamics, and a new integrated cockpit, including the OverDrive Aero steerer tube and Contact SLR AeroLight stem, offers internal cable routing to further minimise drag. From the integrated seatpost to the CADEX WheelSystem with 40mm deep carbon rims, every component is chosen and tested for system optimisation.

SYSTEM OPTIMISATION

The frameset, wheels, cockpit and other parts are engineered, developed and tested together to perform best as a system. The all-new OverDrive Aero steerer tube technology is combined with a Contact SLR AeroLight stem and Contact SLR handlebar to incorporate internal cable routing that also integrates the top cap, cables and spacers in a more aerodynamic, user-friendly setup

Featuring a greater stiffness-to-weight ratio than the previous generation, along with new aero tube shaping and a lighter overall weight, this uncompromising race bike delivers explosive acceleration and unyielding pedalling stiffness. INTEGRATED AERODYNAMICS

From the truncated ellipse shape of frameset tubing to a new cockpit design and component integration, it all adds up to a more streamlined profile that helps give the flagship TCR Advanced SL 0 model a 4.19-watt advantage over the previous generation.

Advanced SL Composite Technology

Professional Grade raw carbon fiber is woven in our composite factory to produce our lightest, stiffest and highest quality frames. This is the technology used by Giant’s pro racers in almost every cycling discipline.

Integrated Seatpost

Designed as a key performance factor in the overall frameset, the integrated seatpost saves up to 40 grams compared to standard composite posts, while improving aerodynamics and adding road-smoothing compliance.

Compact Road Design

Introduced by Giant with the professional Team ONCE in the 1990s, Compact Road revolutionized the look and feel of high-performance road bikes forever. A downward sloping toptube (from the headtube to the seattube) creates smaller front and rear triangles for a lighter, stiffer bike. It also makes it easier for riders of all sizes to have a perfect fit.

OverDrive Aero

Found inside the head tube of the Defy, Propel and TCR ranges, the D-shaped fork steerer tube and corresponding spacers provide an extremely aerodynamic, easier to service system of internally routed brake and derailleur cables.
